What's it about?
Framed for a crime he didn't commit Nick Diamond becomes Public Enemy Number Two
What happens?
Nick Diamond finds himself sharing a cell with Johnny Powers, Public Enemy Number One. Nick's only chance is to find the real culprit, the Fence, but with only his bird-brained brother Tim to help him, things are looking bleak. Especially when Nick finds out Ma Powers and her gang are waiting to break Johnny and his 'pal' Nick, out of jail.
Is it easy to read?
Girls will enjoy it and so will boys, a real adventure story.
Anything else?
A wonderful adventure by Horowitz. Written in the style of all good detective stories. The pace and humour just keep coming. This author has got to be one of the best around!
Other books by Anthony Horowitz include Granny, Groosham Grange, Point Blanc, South By South East, Stormbreaker, The Devil and His Boy, The Falcon's Malteser, The Switch, The Unholy Grail.

Wisecracking young Nick Diamond finds himself sharing a prison cell with Johnny Powers, Public Enemy No.1. His only chance of rescuing the situation is to nail the Fence, the country's master criminal. First, though, Nick has to get out of jail.

I think it is a good a book for people who like a book full of mystery and surprises. It also has fun parts with a few explosions along the way.
Tom Wedell, St. Andrew's School, Eastbourne
Public Enemy Number Two is a fun-packed adventure. Where crime and mystery meet humour. In a fun-packed clash of good and bad as Nick a 16 year old boy gets set up.
