Mrs Mad's humble opinion
8/10 You are working hard. Well done.
What's it about?
A Pebbledown Bay adventure featuring Molly, Jack and their animal friends.
What happens?
Gran is getting in the way at the café, so Jack and Molly make a deal with Dad. If they keep Gran out of the café and out of trouble, Dad will think about getting them a dog. After some thought they decide to put on a Punch and Judy show, but there is already one on the Pier in New Pebbledown, but there is definitely something strange about it! Can Molly and Jack solve the mystery and keep Gran out of trouble?
Is it easy to read?
Great stories to encourage young readers, suitable for boys and girls. Plots are straight forward, but with enough development to improve concentration.
Anything else?
A lovely story, short and easy to read, great for building confidence and interest in books. Pat writes in an open, happy style that children will find appealing. The idea of the characters appearing in several books is also a good one as readers will already know something about the story before they start, thus giving them more confidence.
Other books by Pat Posner include Ghostly Goings-on!, Guinea Pig's Adventure, King Oftencross, Nipper to the Rescue, Pirates in the Cottage, Stories That Really Happened: Animal.
